Estelle Maxwell

As we go through life's turning points, the challenges watersheds and crises can sometimes feel too difficult or overwhelming to manage alone. Counselling can help you at such times by offering you the support and challenge necessary to gain greater insight into your past and present way of being, to help you understand more about yourself and others, and to help you towards a greater sense of acceptance of who you truly are.

My name is Estelle Maxwell, I am an accredited BACP and UKCP integrative counsellor/psychotherapist. I am also a qualified bereavement counsellor and an eating disorder counsellor and have trained in working with Mindfulness.

Experience:

I have worked in counselling for nine years. I am working at a GP practice in Wimpole St, W1, and have an established private practice at my home in Esher.  I work with corporate clients in FTSE 100 companies and offer Skype counselling to clients overseas and in other parts of the UK, as well as private clients.
I trained as an integrative counsellor and with the national bereavement organisation CRUSE and have worked at Kingston Bereavement Service for three years.
I was a telephone volunteer at CRUSE in Richmond for nine months and I worked for three years at Kingston Women's Centre and for three years at a GP's practice.
I work with issues including: grief, separation and loss, shock, trauma, unexpected death, living with the aftermath of a friend or family member’s suicide, anxiety and panic, guilt, sexual abuse, bullying, low self-esteem, shame, termination and abortion, and depression.
